Nordens Selenium Plus combines selenium with red algae (Lithothamnium Calcareum) in a convenient capsule. This listing is for one bottle. Selenium is an essential trace mineral: the body needs small amounts for normal functions.
The role of selenium
Selenium supports normal immune and thyroid function and forms part of the body’s antioxidant defences. It also plays a role in maintaining normal hair and nails and in normal sperm production. These nutritional roles do not mean that taking extra selenium prevents or treats disease.
Listed ingredients per capsule
- Selenium: 200 micrograms (200 mcg).
- Red algae (Lithothamnium Calcareum): 650 mg, a source of marine minerals and trace elements.
Lithothamnium Calcareum is also the ingredient in Nordens Organamin. Research on particular red-algae preparations does not automatically establish the same effects for every finished formula.
